What we do

In these lessons we will read the international bestseller "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari. We will read the book over 8 weeks. We will discuss the issues and ideas raised in the book. In the lessons we will:

  • Hold deep and meaningful conversations based around the ideas in the book

  • Study any useful vocabulary and collocations that crop up

  • Engage in thought-provoking debates

Topics covered:

In our weekly lessons we will discuss a range of topics via conversation, debates and discussion guided by the teacher. You will need to reference the book and what you have learnt in order to make your points and be active in the discussions.

The book covers a wide range of topics and we will discuss agriculture, language, religion, gender, sociology, politics and much, much more! over the course of 8 weeks

How it works

​READ: Each week you read the appropriate chapters of the book BEFORE the lesson (Reading schedule available upon booking)

THINK: Each week there are questions about each chapter for you to think about and make notes on. We will discuss these questions in the lesson.

WRITE: There is also an optional writing task to complete each week. You can submit this to our Google Classroom.

SPEAK: Join the lesson and discuss the chapters that we have read. SHARE: Join our online community for interesting videos, deep discussion and extra materials related to the book.
